Saratoga Quakers and Abolitionists
|
| Saratoga Monthly Meeting members were deeply involved with abolitionists and the Underground Railroad. Frederick Douglas visited our area and spoke at our Meeting. Our Friend, Jane Meader Nye, has been indexing the historical record of abolitionists in Saratoga County. An article on this topic, titled An Index to African-American History Becoming a Reality in Saratoga County, appeared in examiner.com and is accessible here. |
